Pimsleur Digital Spanish Phases 1-4
The Pimsleur Spanish learning method works entirely through listening. The listener recalls and constructs Spanish phrases from memory, rather than repeating what they hear. The lessons are 30 minutes long and designed to be repeated until the student attains 70-80% comprehension, at which point he or she may move on to the next lesson. As the lessons repeat themselves and add new material, it is not necessary for the student to master each lesson perfectly before moving on to the next lesson. The learner is tested and retested on new Spanish material at varying intervals throughout the course to reinforce memory.

This complete Spanish course includes all of Phases: Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Spanish 3 and Spanish 4 – 50 hours of spoken Spanish language practice and three hours of reading instruction. With this Spanish course you start from zero, learning first Spanish survival phrases and vocabulary, and eventually progressing to a high-intermediate level of speaking, understanding, and reading the Spanish language.
Every lesson contains an introductory Spanish conversation and isolated vocabulary and structures, as well as full practice of all Spanish vocabulary introduced. The emphasis is on Spanish pronunciation and Spanish comprehension, and on learning to speak Spanish.
Reading Lessons are included at the end of Unit 30 for each Phase. These lessons, which total about three hours, are designed to first give you practice sounding out the Spanish alphabet, then to progress to reading Spanish for meaning. They also provide extensive additional vocabulary. Before you know it, you’ll be reading Spanish with the ease and flexibility of a native speaker. A PDF file containing the combined Reading Booklets to be used with the audio lessons is included.
At the completion of this course, you’ll speak Spanish confidently using your wide-ranging Spanish vocabulary, and experience the language and Spanish culture with a deepening insight into a new world.
